Put a form inside any proposal or publish it as its own application link. Applicants verify their email, answer across one or many steps, sign, and pay if you ask them to. Every answer lands on the Lead or Contact in Salesforce, with a Form Submission record, the signed PDF and any uploaded files attached.
Add a Form component to any document, deck or responsive page and drag fields in from the library, or describe what you need and let AI Studio build it. Add a second Form component and you have a multi-step form, one step per form.
Choose Lead or Contact as the target, then map each field to a compatible Salesforce field or to a custom field on the SalesSign Form Submission record. On a Contact form, map the company field to Account and each Contact is filed under that Account, found by name or created. The picker only offers fields of a matching type, and each Salesforce field can be used once.
Publish to get a public application link with a close date and an application limit, or send the proposal to named recipients as usual. Applicants always see the published version while you keep editing a draft.
Submit creates or updates the Lead or Contact, records a Form Submission, attaches uploaded files, and moves the applicant into the e-signature ceremony and, if you have set one, the payment.
Short answers up to 255 characters and numeric values, each with a label, placeholder and default.
A native date picker on every device, mapped straight to Salesforce date or date-time fields.
Single choice by default, or switch on multi-select for a checkbox group with Select all. Long lists scroll after five options.
One choice from a short list, or a yes-or-no tick that can start pre-checked.
PDF, JPEG or PNG up to 10 MB, checked by content rather than extension, scanned for malware, stored encrypted and attached as a Salesforce File on the record.
Fields sit on a 12-column grid at full, three-quarter, two-thirds, half, third, quarter or sixth width, up to six to a row, and the width can differ on mobile, tablet and desktop. A New row switch forces a line break wherever you want one.
The Form Styling panel sets the background, title, label, field text, field background and border colours, puts labels above, below or inside the field as a floating label, rounds corners from square to 24 pixels and adds a subtle, medium or large shadow. Titles and descriptions follow your document’s typography, Next and Back buttons use your brand colour, and the signed PDF reproduces the same layout.
Conditional rules show or hide a set of fields when a watched field equals, does not equal, contains, is greater than or is less than a value. Rules chain, so one reveal can trigger the next, and anything hidden is neither required nor sent to Salesforce or the PDF.
Submission rules must all pass before Submit or Sign becomes available, for example “the consent box must be ticked”. In a multi-step form each step’s rules gate its Next button, with a clear hint when something is missing. Every rule is checked again on the server, so a tampered browser cannot skip one.
Several Form components become steps with a “Step 2 of 4” caption and Next and Back buttons. Switch on “Hide when complete” for a one-question-at-a-time wizard. Progress saves on every Next against the applicant’s verified email, so they can close the page and pick up exactly where they left off.
| What happens | Detail |
|---|---|
| Lead or Contact | Found by the applicant’s verified email and updated, or created if there is no match. Missing required fields are filled sensibly so the record always saves. |
| Account | On a Contact form, a new Contact is filed under the Account named on the form: found by name, or created, and your duplicate rules are respected. A new applicant who gives no company is saved as a Lead instead, so no Contact is ever left without an Account. An existing Contact’s Account is never changed. |
| Field matching | Text to text, email, phone, URL or picklist; number to number, currency or percent; date to date or date-time; dropdown to picklist or multi-select picklist; checkbox to checkbox. Values are converted before writing. |
| Form Submission record | A new SalesSign Form Submission for every applicant, linked to the Lead or Contact and to the proposal, with the email used, submitted and signed dates, and any custom fields you have added and mapped. |
| Files | Uploads are scanned for malware, then attached as Salesforce Files to both the person record and the Form Submission. A file that fails the scan is deleted and never attached. |
| Tracking | The tracking session records when the form was started, the step reached, submission, signature and payment, with an outcome of Not started, In progress, Abandoned, Submitted, Signed or Paid, and seconds spent on each field. |
| Payments | When the form takes payment, a Transaction record links to the Form Submission, the person and the proposal. |
Applicants see a frozen published version while you edit a draft. Re-publish or discard your changes, and every published version is kept, so you can always see exactly what someone answered.
Set a closing date, cap the number of completed applications, or close it now. Late visitors see a clear message explaining why.
One button submits the answers, opens the e-signature ceremony and, if you charge, takes payment. The signed PDF includes the applicant’s answers.
Status, starts, in-progress, submissions, signatures and payments at a glance, and an applications table you can search and filter, with links to each Salesforce record and signed PDF.
Each submission is its own locked record, opened in a view-only tab that cannot be edited, re-published or cloned.
Form starts and submissions on the Track tab, the answers and time spent on each field in every visit, and a replay of the exact version the visitor saw.
Nothing is saved until the applicant enters a six-digit code sent to their email, and only that verified email is used for the Salesforce record. One application per verified email per form.
File type is checked from the file’s content, size is capped at 10 MB and files are stored encrypted at rest in storage scoped to the form and the applicant’s session.
Uploads, submissions and signing are rate-limited per address and per form, and the signed PDF and every published version are kept as the record of what was asked and answered.
Forms are part of the Max plan. Every 14-day free trial runs with Max features, so you can build and publish a real form before choosing a plan.
A form writes to a Lead or a Contact, found by the applicant’s verified email and updated or created. On a Contact form, the Contact is filed under the Account named on the form, found by name or created; a new applicant with no company is saved as a Lead. Every submission also creates a SalesSign Form Submission record, where you can add and map your own custom fields.
Yes. Add more than one Form component and each becomes a step, with Next and Back buttons, per-step rules and progress saved on every step.
Yes. The file upload field accepts PDF, JPEG and PNG up to 10 MB, checked by content, scanned for malware, stored encrypted and attached to the Salesforce record as a File. A file that fails the scan is deleted and never reaches Salesforce, and your admins are emailed so you can ask for a new copy.
Yes. Conditional rules show or hide fields when another field equals, does not equal, contains, is greater than or is less than a value, and rules can chain. Hidden answers are never sent to Salesforce.
Yes, with Sign & Pay. The applicant submits, signs and then pays by card through Stripe, and each applicant’s payment appears on the form’s Pay tab and as a Transaction in Salesforce.
Every applicant verifies their email with a six-digit code before anything is saved, each verified email can apply once per form, and submissions are rate-limited.
