Sign & Pay

Get paid the moment your customer signs the deal.

Add a payment to any proposal, quote or order form. Your buyer signs, lands straight on a secure Stripe checkout in your brand, pays by card and gets a receipt, while the Transaction record, the proposal and the Opportunity in Salesforce update themselves. The money goes to your own Stripe account, never through ours.

Your own Stripe account 0.5% fee, capped at £250 Written back to Salesforce
How it works

From signature to cleared payment, without a second tool.

Set the amount while you build

Open the Payment tab in the builder and choose how much to take: a number field on the linked Salesforce record such as the Opportunity amount, a custom amount with its own description, or one or more products and prices from your Stripe catalogue. Pick who pays when there is more than one signer.

Send, and the price is locked

At send the amount, line items and currency are frozen into the payment record, and the signed PDF gains a Payment terms block that lists each line and the total due on signature. Editing the proposal or the Salesforce record afterwards cannot change what your customer is charged.

Your customer signs and pays

The payer’s button reads “Sign & Pay”, with the amount and your name beside it. Once every signer has finished, they go straight to Stripe’s hosted checkout in your brand and pay by card. Other signers simply sign.

Receipt, reminders and Salesforce, automatically

The payer gets an itemised receipt from you. If they have not paid yet, SalesSign sends a payment-due email and your chosen reminders. Every change of status, from awaiting payment to paid, refunded or charged back, lands on a Transaction record in Salesforce.

Setting the amount

Three ways to decide what gets charged.

From Salesforce

A field on the record

Point the payment at any number field on the linked record, such as the Opportunity amount or a Quote total. SalesSign reads it again at send, so the charge always matches the deal as it stood when it went out.

Custom

A description and an amount

Type what the customer is paying for and how much, for a deposit invoice, a set-up fee or a one-off service. Useful when the number is not held on a Salesforce field.

Stripe catalogue

Products you already sell

Search your own Stripe products and prices and add several as line items. Recurring and tiered prices are shown but greyed out with the reason, so nobody picks one that checkout cannot take.

A built-in check warns you before sending if the document does not seem to mention the amount you are about to charge. It never blocks you; it just stops a proposal that says £12,000 from charging £1,200. Amounts run from £1 up, with a prompt to double-check anything above £250,000.
The buyer’s side

One flow from signature to payment

The payer sees exactly what they are agreeing to: “By signing you agree to pay £X to your company”, next to the button, and the same wording printed into the signed PDF. After signing they land on a secure SalesSign pay link that opens a fresh Stripe checkout every time, so it never goes stale. If they close it, the same link works tomorrow.

With several signers nobody pays until the last one has signed; an early payer sees a clear “not ready to pay yet” page and gets the link by email when the document is complete. A friendly confirmation page follows payment, and dedicated pages cover refunded, disputed, cancelled and expired links.

Salesforce

Payment status where your team already works

Every payment creates a SalesSign Transaction record in Salesforce and keeps it current: status, amount, amount received and refunded, fee, currency, payer, paid-at and refunded-at dates, and the Stripe payment and charge IDs. It links to the Proposal, the Sign Request, the Form Submission, the Lead or the Contact.

The Proposal and Form Submission records carry a Payment Status and Amount Paid, the tracking session is marked Paid, and the SalesSign component on the record shows a Paid step on its timeline. “Signed” stays separate from “Paid”, so the automation you already run on signature keeps working, and Flow can trigger on the payment fields as well.

Chasing, done for you

Reminders and a Pay tab for every deal

Choose payment reminders when you send: every 3, 7 or 14 days, up to 1, 3 or 5 times. They are separate from signature reminders and start once the document is signed. Need to nudge someone now? “Send reminder now” and “Create payment link” are one click each.

The Pay tab on each proposal shows amount, received, outstanding and reminders sent, the line items, the net after refunds, the email timeline and a plain-English history: customer opened the payment page, paid, confirmed with Stripe. For forms, the Pay tab lists every applicant with totals due, received and outstanding.

Built on Stripe

Your Stripe account, your brand, your money.

Connect in minutes

An admin connects your existing Stripe account through Stripe Connect. No new account and no second identity check. SalesSign keeps only the account ID, never your keys.

Funds go straight to you

Payments are direct charges on your Stripe account and pay out on your usual Stripe schedule. Your name appears at checkout and on the customer’s card statement.

Set up before Stripe finishes

You can build and price proposals while Stripe is still verifying your account. Payments go live the moment Stripe activates it.

Card details never touch us

Customers pay on Stripe’s hosted checkout. Card numbers never reach SalesSign or your team, and Stripe handles card authentication.

GBP, EUR and USD

Charge in pounds, euros or US dollars, following your Stripe account’s default currency or the currency of the catalogue price you pick.

Refunds and disputes handled cleanly

Refund from your Stripe dashboard and SalesSign returns its fee in proportion. A lost dispute returns the whole fee and sets the proposal back to unpaid.

Pricing

One simple fee on top of Stripe’s.

Security

Built so the price cannot be tampered with.

Frozen at send

The amount is read only from the payment record created at send. The pay link accepts no amounts from the browser.

Secret pay links

Only a hash of each link is stored, at most two are live at once, and pages are rate-limited, hidden from search engines and send no referrer.

Verified webhooks

Stripe events are signature-checked, processed once and matched to the Stripe account they came from. Every step is logged with sensitive data scrubbed.

FAQ

Sign & Pay questions.

When is the customer charged?

Straight after signing. When several people sign, payment becomes due once the last signer has finished, and the chosen payer is taken to checkout or emailed the link. Payment always follows signature; there is no pay-first option.

Do I need a new Stripe account?

No. An admin connects your existing Stripe account through Stripe Connect in a few clicks. If you do not have one, Stripe’s sign-up takes a few minutes and you can build and price proposals while it verifies.

How much does it cost?

0.5% per payment, capped at £250 (€290, $320), on top of Stripe’s normal card fees. It is included with the Max plan and is available during every free trial.

Where does the payment show up in Salesforce?

On a SalesSign Transaction record linked to the proposal, sign request, form submission, lead or contact, plus Payment Status and Amount Paid on the proposal and form submission. Salesforce Flow can trigger on any of them.

Can I take payment on a form?

Yes. A published form can require payment, and every applicant who signs the form gets their own payment, listed on the form’s Pay tab with totals received and outstanding.

Which currencies can I charge in?

Pounds sterling, euros and US dollars, following your Stripe account’s default currency or the currency of the catalogue price you choose.

How do refunds work?

Refund in your Stripe dashboard as you do today. SalesSign picks up the refund, updates the Transaction record in Salesforce and returns its fee in proportion.
